Conserving Our Land
Many conservatives I know prioritize America's natural beauty despite unfair portrayals linking them to environmental harm. While others may express a bigger concern for property rights and allowing people to do what they want with their land. I believe in a non-exclusive approach—allowing land development while providing the county an opportunity to expand our existing green spaces and acquire new spaces to preserve land for future generations. This conservation initiative, though potentially costly, can be managed to mitigate financial burdens and at the same time enhance public green spaces, parks, recreation and
Johnston County is currently known as a stronghold of conservative ideals with its consistent voting record for conservative candidates. One of these conservative ideals is the preservation of the Second Amendment and hunting rights. If elected, I will work to partner with the rest of the county commissioners, Johnston County Parks and Rec, and NC Wildlife Resources Commission to expand our public land and recreational opportunities for generations to come.
We have become great because of the lavish use of our resources. But the time has come to inquire seriously about what will happen when our forests are gone.
